FIRE IN COUNTY SCHOOL. I SUFFRAGETTE OUTRAGE IN WALES. Suffragette incendiaries visited Carnarvon early on Thursday morning and set fire to the intermediate school and a haystack on an ad- jacent farm. Five windows and a door of the school were ignited with bundles of wood steeped in petrol and containing cotton-wool and resin. A ceiling also took fire. but owing to the timely discovery by the caretaker ( in the photos above) the outbreak was subdued before any further damage was done. Suffragette literature was strewn about, and cards were found bearing the words, "We work while Lloyd George preaches," and "Destruction follows in the wake of Cabinet Ministers." Territorials from neighbouring camps assisted to quell the outbreak. Hay valued at 200 was damaged in the farm fire and there was proof that this also was the work of suffragettes.

Rhoi Ysgol Sir Caernarfon ar Dan. GWAITH Y SUFFRAGETTES. Oddeutu wyth o'r gloch foreu Iau diweddaf canfuwyd fod Ysgol Sir Caernarfon ar dan. Gwelwyd y tan gyntaf gan Mr. Joseph Hughes, y ceid- wad, ac aeth ar unwaith i roi hysbys- rwydd ac i chwilio am help i ddiffodd y fflamau. Buwyd am oriau cyn y llwyddwyd i'w lwyr ddiffoddi. Caed papurau yn perthyn i'r Suffragettes yn yr ysgol, a bernir oddiwrth y papurau hyny mai gwaith y Suffragettes oedd. Ar rai o'r papurau caed y geiriau,- "Rhyddid i Ferched Prydain," Ewch at Mr. Lloyd George i gael eglurhad ar y tan hwn," 44 Gwnawn ni y gwaith tra mae Mr. Lloyd George yn pre- gethu," &c. Yn gynar yr un boreu aeth tas o wair ar dan ar fferm Caegwyn, a llwyr adinystriwyd y das. Ymddengys fed lie cryf i dyoio mai y Suffragettes fu'r achos o'r tan hwn hefyd. Nos ltu hefyd canfuwyd fod dau dy newydd yn Upper Bangor, yn agos i westfa'r merched sy'n perthyn i'r Coleg, wedi eu rhoi ar dan. Nid oedd neb yn byw yn y tai. Llwyddwyd i ddiffodd y tin cyn i nemor niwed gael ei wneyd. Yr oedd olew a sylweddau cyneuadwy eraill wedi eu tywallt hyd y lie, a buwyd yn ffodus i ganfod y tan mewn pryd neu buasai y tai wedi eu llwyr ddinystrio'n fuan iawn.
