Photographs of the Barber family
Supplied by Mary L Ebbs [Nee Barber]

My father became a catholic because my mother was Belgian he met her in the war. Becoming a catholic was a strict requirement of her family in order that he may marry her............ I am guessing this picture had something to do with this story and dad Ted top row 3rd from left confirmation or something like that.

Ted Barber as a teenager 4th row back 3rd from the right next to man wearing cap at jaunty angle.

Front row Richard (Dick) Barber 3rd from right, 2nd row Annie Barber 1st from right in white.
These are a few photos that need identification I can name my family members but there is nothing written to say what the event was or where, I am hoping someone out there will recognise the group or members of it, fingers crossed and I hope you or someone could let me know.
I know  that Annie Barber my Nain sang with the choral society, they went to Crystal Palace and sang the Messiah, I believe my grandfather may have also sang with them I have looked at the pictures of the choirs, I have these also but the faces are too small to make identification. Perhaps one of these is also the choir.
