Siop Cae.

Both photographs kindly donated by current owner Colin Owen.

Colin is the son of the previous proprietors Mr & Mrs W. Owen (Will Glo). [Dafydd].Will and I were in the same class in Ysgol Hogiau and during every play period we used to put on a pair of boxing gloves and have a practice bout. I must admit he always won. I also remember when I lived in Twthill there was another chip shop on the opposite corner in Victoria Street called 'Flosy Siop Chips.' See below the song we used to sing

Again Siop Cae.

The original photographs are on display in Siop Cae and Colin would like to know more about the history of the shop. I remember it as a grocer shop before it became a chip shop so the dates could be around the 1940s. If anyone has more information please let me know.
